FAQ
Do you deliver to my address?
We have a zip code checker right here.
How often do you change the menu?
Our aim with the menu selection is to have a balance of variety and consistency. We do this by maintaining a fairly large and diverse offering and rotating items on and off for each delivery. So you can count on getting your favorite dishes again and again, but mix it up from week to week. Additions to the overall menu are occasional as well....a few new dishes seasonally.
Is this a subscription?
No. Order what you want when you want. We keep your card on file so you can conveniently place your weekly order with one click.
When do you deliver?
Deliveries are made on Mondays between 2am and 6am. Coolers are quietly left on your doorstep, waiting for you first thing in the morning.
We offer a daytime delivery option by request. This is limited to downtown Portland only, but is a great option for offices or limited-access buildings. Daytime delivery window is between 10am and 2pm.
My building is limited access at night. How can I get my delivery?
If you are in downtown Portland you can request daytime delivery which is between 10am and 2pm on delivery day. If this doesn't work for you either, contact us. We have frequently been able to find a solution that works.
Can I pick up my order?
We do not currently have a pick-up site, but we are planning to open one very soon!
How big are the meals?
Each meal is designed to be a full meal for one person. Our breakfasts and entrees are designed to be hearty and filling with enough calories to sustain you to your next meal. Our lighter dishes are in the "Choose Two" category where you get two dishes as one meal.
How can I order for my whole family?
We made family ordering on the calendar super easy. Add a meal to any time slot, then click the icon and add to the quantity of the dish or add different dishes for each person.
How do I know if I'm getting enough calories?
Our meals vary in calorie counts, so we put a calorie counter at the bottom of each day column on the calendar. You can easily see what your daily macros would be with any combination of dishes. The dishes are general designed to fit the caloric needs of an "average" person on a average day, but needs obviously vary widely so use the calendar to gauge the numbers. More importantly, listen to your body. Have a snack or a vegan protein shake if you are hungry. If you workout a lot, you will probably want to supplement accordingly with shakes or ordering extra meals.
Are there any vitamins I should be taking?
Yes, especially if you go 100% vegan i.e. the 2 week challenge, you need to take vitamin supplements to make sure you are getting all of the essential nutrients your body needs that are hard to find in the common plants that we eat. You will want to consult you doctor and do your own research, but we generally recommend taking a vegan multivitamin as well as a vegan Omega-3 (DHA-EPA) supplement. Make sure your multivitamin has plenty of B12 or take it separately. You need it for your brain!
Gluten-free?
Yes, we have a lot of gluten-free options. Some dishes are gluten-free automatically and others can be made gluten-free by selecting the option when ordering it. It should be noted that our kitchen is not a 100% gluten-free environment so those with severe allergies should not order.
